Broccoli - Cheese Casserole

8 oz of Velvette cheese (cubed) 1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 sm. bunch broccoli florets chopped 1 soup can of milk
1/4 med. onion chopped  some chopped mushrooms 
1/2 cup melted butter (one stick)   pkg. Knorr Chedder Broccoli Rice Sides
1 sm. can French fried onions 2 mild Italian Sausage

 Mix the soup & milk in a 9 X 13 casserole dish. Sprinkle the broccoli, onions, mushrooms & cheese cubes evenly in the dish . Pour the butter evenly throughout the mixture. Somewhere in there you need to cook the rice and brown the sausage. You might want to separate the sausage skin from the meat inside before browning. Sprinkle the rice and browned sausage over the mixture. Then I stirred it all together. Cook the casserole at 350 for 40 minutes. With about 5 minutes left, sprinkle the French fried unions over the casserole and continue cooking. I did not add any additional seasoning and found it was not needed.
